2 – 4 o’clock

Meet and visit with Robert Wanat at the Kronkosky Library of Bandera County. Numerous examples of rawhide-branded maps will remain on display at the library through April 30, 2008.

In the News

Texas Country reporter Bob Phillips has profiled Robert Wanat and his unique maps on two occasions while other radio and print media have reported on Wanat’s historical work many times.

Success is in the Detail

One work of art, a map of Texas depicting each county’s oldest cattle brand, required Wanat to visit every county in Texas twice to obtain historical accuracy.

Robert Wanat has exhibited his branded rawhide maps at over 40 venues including:

· The Alamo

· Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum

· Dallas Historical Society

· Institute of Texas Cultures.

From Australia to Europe and South America, Wanat branded cowhide maps have been purchased by banks, ranches, restaurants, bed and breakfast owners, as well as private individuals.

Wild Hog Explosion! Demonstration

Observe Mr. Wanat as he creates his unique art on rawhide throughout the day at the Wild Hog Explosion! at Mansfield Park on Saturday, March 15th, 2008.

Proceeds to Benefit Kronkosky Library of Bandera County
